The UAE Environmental and Agricultural information centre (UAE Agricent) is a dependent to the Ministry of Environment and Water in the United Arab Emirates and is technically supported by the world Agricultural information centre (WAICENT) which belongs to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.

(UAEAGRICENT) conducts the documentation of all relevant environmental and agricultural information including research, studies, annual, seasonal and monthly reports related to plant, animal, fisheries and soil and water sectors, as well to general statistics of agricultural sector which include production, areas, services, exchange of agricultural trade commodities the averages of self sufficiency of in crops and other products either animal or fish production, agricultural production value, agricultural statistical and economic indicators which are rapidly developing.
Information includes also the legislations and laws organizing plant, animal, fisheries and soil and water affairs.
The establishment of (UAE Agricent) reflects the day by day follow up of the ministry towards the latest development in Agricultural fields to be logged on to the website of the centre so as to be easily utilized.

3- When did UAE Agricent Establish?

It was established in the 29 th of may 2002, and in December 2003 a memorandum of technical cooperation with WAICENT was signed which accordingly will enable UAE Agricent to be specialized in environmental and agricultural information and to become one of the most important environmental and agricultural information resources in the region.

It aims to achieving the following:
